Serving the Lord is my passion, it's my life, it's my inner most desire. I strive to do whatever is necessary in order to fulfill my part of the bigger picture, to listen to Him and follow Him, wherever He leads me. As you may have read on the first page, I experienced an 'unexpected turn' which took me to El Rincon de Maria. There, Christ enlarged my heart's passion. He gave me vision.
Even though the resources at El Rincon de Maria are meager and conditions deplorable, my God is an awesome God. It is by His Spirit goals are achieved. My hopes are to raise enough funds to supply the school with necessary educational resources in order to better the opportunities and lives of the children who attend the kinder.
We have only begun and already these items have been provided. So far about 2500 dollars has been raised and used to purchase:
- A copy machine for the school
- Copy paper and toner for the copier
- Materials to buy book shelves for the new library to be built
- Books for the new library
- A cement floor for the playground
- Has partially paid for a roof over the playground for sun protection
- Classroom supplies/teacher supplies
- Children's books
- Children's clothing (donated in the states and delivered during the last mission trip)
